What Used To Be
“What Used To Be” is a Patriarch original with full instrumentation from 1984. The original version can be found on our album Patriarch-First Hand:Second Verse. After the band retired in '87, Chuck loved the song so much, he arranged a super cool acoustic version of WU2B that he played many times in the Atlanta area over the years. We decided to add his version of the song to our acoustic “living room set” and the result is magic! We performed this full-band acoustic version (with violin) publicly for the first time in Lawrence, Kansas on August 10, 2024. Enjoy!

On The Rocks
Back in the day, the band wanted Steve to come out front to sing lead so they wrote a song with an intricate drum machine part and got him out from behind the drums! Last year, they decided to bring this one back, but instead of the drum machine part, Steve recreated the drum part and sings it, just not out front this time. This one also features a lot of killer violin work. It was performed live in Lawrence, Kansas on 8/10/24 for the first time since the drum machine version in the 80's, and it's a pretty cool tune, enjoy!

Getting The Band Back Together (6-minute version)
In 2014, the most unlikely thing happened... Google Fiber wanted us to get the band back together, perform a reunion concert, and record the entire experience to create a documentary called... you guessed it, "Getting The Band Back Together". It was an opportunity of a lifetime! This was the first time we had all 5 of us in the room together at the same time in 27 years. Check out the 6-minute version of the documentary and let us know what you think. We loved every single second of this amazing experience and can't thank everyone enough for making it happen, making our dreams come true, and creating what was truly an experience of a lifetime. Enjoy!
